MSO Experience
Privacy
Draft for legal review. The operator name and mailing address will be added before paid checkout opens.
We collect as little as we can, and nothing your child writes ever leaves their phone.
Parents hold the accounts
Only parents and guardians have accounts. A child uses the app through a phone you pair with a six-letter code. Carried, for ages 2 to 5, runs on a parent’s phone instead of the child’s, and each child is added to it with the same kind of code. Before any account or child profile exists, you read and sign a consent that explains everything on this page.
What we keep
- About you: your name, your email and your login.
- About your child: their first name if you give it (optional), their age, whether they pray on their own or with you, and what they call you. These fill in the words in their app.
- From their phone: a private pairing key, stored scrambled, and a record of which daily hours they finished, on which day, and at what time.
- From Carried on a parent’s phone: a private key for each child, stored scrambled, and a record of each star you light: the date, the time of day (Sunup, Noon or Sundown), which prayer, and which time through the sky. That record is how two parents’ phones share one sky.
- Your signed consent: the version, your typed name, your email and the time.
- If you use a form on this site: your email, and your name and note if you give them.
What we never collect
- Anything your child writes, saves, marks or brings to Porch Talk in their app. Those stay only on their phone.
- Their photo, voice, location, contacts, or anything else from their device, or from the phone Carried runs on.
- Advertising IDs or tracking of any kind. There are no ads and no analytics in the child app.
- Payment card details. Those stay with the payment processor.
Children under 13
Every MSO app is made for children, and every child is under a parent’s account. We collect information about a child only after a parent gives consent, before any profile exists, and only what this page lists. We use it only to run the apps for your family. A parent can review it in Train Up, stop further collection by removing a phone or a child, or have it deleted at any time.
Who handles the data
Supabase stores accounts, profiles, content and completion records, encrypted at rest. Vercel hosts the apps and this site, with analytics turned off. When paid checkout opens, the payment processor handles payment. No one else receives information about your child, and nothing is ever sold.
How long we keep it
Completion records, including Carried’s stars, stay while your membership or account exists, plus 120 days after a lapse. Profiles and paired phones stay until you remove them or delete your account. Your signed consent is kept for the life of the account plus 3 years as proof it was given.
Your choices
You can see what we hold in Train Up. You can remove a paired phone at any time. You can ask us to delete everything, and we will do it within 7 days and confirm in writing. You can withdraw your consent at any time, which deletes all records.
Contact
